Datiya school was flourished by Bundella rulers and fine paintings having Mughal influence were produced. The main subjects were krishnaleela and Naya -Nayika. The illustrations were also executed on the couplets of Bihari and Keshava and Dev and Matiram the well known shrangara rasa poets of Reetikal.
